About Orysia Lutsevych OBE

Orysia Lutsevych is a renowned authority on democratic resilience, foreign interference, and civil society development in Eastern Europe. As the Deputy Director of the Russia & Eurasia Programme and the Head of the Ukraine Forum at Chatham House, she delivers comprehensive analyses on Ukraine’s political and economic transformation, regional security, and the effects of foreign influence. Orysia holds master’s degrees in international relations from Lviv State University and public administration from the University of Missouri. She is fluent in Ukrainian, English, Russian, and Polish, bringing a cross-cultural and strategic approach to her work. In recognition of her contributions to democracy and civil society, she was awarded an OBE in 2024.
