Charles Michel is a seasoned European leader widely recognized for navigating complex geopolitical and institutional challenges. As President of the European Council (2019–2024), he helped steer the European Union through pivotal global crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine. Under his leadership, the EU launched its flagship recovery strategy, Next Generation EU, and deepened its engagement in areas ranging from security and trade to climate diplomacy.

Prior to his role in Brussels, Michel served as Prime Minister of Belgium, becoming the youngest to hold the position at age 38. During his tenure, he led major reforms aimed at revitalizing the national economy and strengthening the social framework.
