Some careers follow a straight line. Mine has followed the world.

For more than 25 years, I have worked across four continents, navigating humanitarian crises, leading multicultural teams, teaching future managers, and advising leaders facing uncertainty, transformation and complexity. From Southeast Asia and West Africa to Europe and North America, my career has been shaped by one recurring question: how do people and organisations perform when certainty disappears?

That includes opening and coordinating a post-tsunami mission in Indonesia following the 2004 Indian Ocean disaster, managing a reintegration programme for former combatants in post-conflict Liberia, and leading emergency response operations after the Padang earthquake and the Merapi volcanic eruption.

A Master’s in Geopolitics from the Institut Français de Géopolitique provided the academic framework. Field experience provided the reality. Today, geopolitics is no longer a specialist discipline — it influences leadership, talent, supply chains, investment decisions and organisational resilience.

Throughout my career, I have operated in multicultural environments where success depends on the ability to build trust, align diverse perspectives and lead across cultures. Intercultural leadership remains one of the central themes of my work.

As Director for France and Switzerland at London Speaker Bureau, I spent over a decade advising corporations, institutions and government organisations while working alongside former heads of state, Nobel Prize winners, business leaders and global experts. That experience provided a unique perspective on leadership, decision-making and the power of ideas.

In 2024, I founded Matti Speaker Agency to help organisations access the voices, perspectives and conversations that matter most in a rapidly changing world. Today, we advise clients on speakers, moderators and executive learning programmes across geopolitics, leadership, technology, AI and transformation.

At the heart of my work is a simple idea: we are not moving toward a new normal. We are living in a Never Normal world. The leaders and organisations that thrive are those able to adapt continuously, think across boundaries and bring people together across cultures, disciplines and perspectives. That is the intersection where I have spent my career — and where I continue to work today.
