
Hapsatou Sy is a French TV panellist and entrepreneur in the beauty industry. Born in Sèvres in 1981, she began her career with an internship in New York, a city symbolizing endless possibilities and success. Following her internship, Hapsatou was hired as an international marketer.
In 2005, at the age of 24, she founded her first company, Ethnicia, and opened her first beauty salon on Île Saint-Louis in Paris. This marked the beginning of multiple openings in Paris and Switzerland. In 2007, she won second prize in the young designers trade competition organized by the Unibail Rodamco group.
Hapsatou was named a 2010 “Rising Talent” at the Women’s Forum in Deauville and won the Trofémina in the business category in 2011. That same year, she was selected to represent French entrepreneurship at the G20. In 2012, Hapsatou began a new career as a TV panellist. She served as a jury member on “The Inventor 2012” on M6 and became a columnist on “The Big 8” alongside Laurence Ferrari, Roselyne Bachelot, and Audrey Pulvar. She also hosted a prime-time show inspired by Project Runway USA, called Fashion Project in France.
