About Isabelle Delannoy

Isabelle Delannoy is a prominent French environmental activist known for her extensive work in sustainable development. Co-author of the film Home, directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, and author of The Symbiotic Economy (2017), Delannoy has made significant contributions to environmental awareness and sustainability.

Initially trained as an agricultural engineer, she has become an expert in sustainable development in France, pioneering the theory of the symbiotic economy. Delannoy’s career spans research, regulation, and lobbying for the organic food and farming industry. She played a key role in popularizing environmental issues through various platforms, including press, internet, cinema, and television.

Her collaboration with Yann Arthus-Bertrand led her to work on the bestselling book of aerial photography, The Earth from the Air. As a sought-after expert, she founded the first French carbon footprint observatory, “Green Inside,” through her consulting agency.

Isabelle has also taught Life and Earth Sciences in high school and contributed to the eco-echos.com blog since 2005. In 2012, she founded “Do Green” to promote the symbiotic economy.
